I'm sure everyone who know's me personally has heard my ranting on this...And so I excuse you all from reading this. XD;;; Actally...Everyone is excused from reading this..o_o;;

*Ahem*
That's not the point. I decided to bring this up because it's something gnawing on my brain and I'm letting out.
Alright, I'm currently in the process of making a FFX-2 Rikku cosplay. As we all know, it's rather...*cough* A lot of nothing. I've always wanted to cosplay, never having the self confidence to do so, a friend though inspired me to cosplay her.

However...I'm not sure I quite have the right body to do that kind of thing. I've been working on losing weight since December of '07 and have definantly noticed a difference. Which is GREAT. However...I still have some flubber that I would very much like to tone and be rid of. Now this obviously relates to Rikku in the sense that I would be wearing it to a con where a LOT of people would see me.

Now, being a girl with little self confidence in the aspect of my body, this is really hard for me. I've been like this since about elementary school where boys in my class would sing the 'Oompa Loompa' song whenever I passed by them. ;_; One of them later apologized, which is great and all but you can never undo something like that.

I should just push it aside you know? But that's just one thing I can't seem to forget. *sigh* GOSH. This is so...Dramatic or something. XD;;
Enough of that. I guess my questioning is...Oh bugger I don't even know. I just want to rant about being self concious I guess. XDD

I'm hoping I'll feel better about myself by October when the con is. >_<;; I'm continuing to work on my weight losing and working out and such. Wish me luck guys. *sigh* I'll figure this all out! ><;;

Alrighty. It's about 2 months since I updated...and figured it was about time that I did.

Life has been pretty good. School is almost out, so that means less school work and more time to goof off! A couple weeks ago it was my birthday, which was fantastic! A lot of my friends got together and planned a surprise breakfast party for me at a local resturant. That was awesome. I got my bangs cut...they're cute...kinda. Ehh, I've been working on losing weight again...I kinda got out of that for a bit, but now I'm back to watching what I eat and trying my best to work out everyday.

I've been really down about my art lately, and haven't really been inspired. I have a couple of things I like that i'll most likely upload in a bit here...just have to scan them first. I also may do some random photshop things...I have a trial version that I'll soon have a full of and may do some playing aroud with that and my tablet...which seems to have some sort of vendetta against my laptop (affectionately named Rami.)...O_oU

So right now I'm in the process of a couple different cosplays.
I'm working on finishing my Elizabeth Swann's gold dress for an upcoming con. I finished the securing features, now I just have to do the embrodery...yuck.
Also starting on a Kyon from 'The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya'.
Aaaaaand Kiba's first costume from Naruto. I already have the pants, headband, shoes, and a wig I can borrow from . This was really just spur of the moment, I love Kiba and really wanted to make it. XD;
-Cosplay Photoshoots-
I REALLY want to do a photoshoot with my Sakura Haruno cosplay. I've lost weight and gotten new things for it, and am feeling pretty good about it. Yeah. This one I want....BADLY.
I would also like to do a photoshoot with my Elizabeth Swann dress once it's comeplete. The only problem is finding a area suited for that sort of costume. XD No nearby beaches here in _____ XP!

As you know I attended Anime Oasis with and . I had a great time and made some new friends and got to know some other people better! 8D

Now, if you've read and 's journals you'll see that they have "mancrushes". I too can announce I have a "mancrush" however I didn't find this "mancrush" at Oasis, and have liked this "mancrush" for awhile. I'm not going into detail but just figured I'd hop on their bandwagon to annouce such things. XD;

Now, onto cosplay! So this year I'm taking my cosplay's to a higher level, meaning, I've been dealt out some pretty intricate things to be making this year. However, with a new male addition to our cosplay group things are just getting better! Our current groups are, Final Fantasy X, Bleach, Legend of Zelda, Ouran High School Host Club, and Soul Caliber. My "assigned" roles for each of these are as folows:

FFX: Summoner Yuna
Bleach: Squad 11- Yumachika Ayasegawa
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess- Link
Ouran: Karou Hitachiin
Soul Caliber: Talim - White nun looking thing...XD; (With some slight modifications so I'm not flashing my stomach to the world.)

I'm really excited to be working on these. I know it's going to be time consuming and expensive but I'm willing to make those sacrifices so that I can become a better cosplayer!
More about these as they get progressive.

Well, Anime Oasis I quickly approaching, and I'm having some major nerves about it.
Fistly I'm worried I wont get everything I need to done, and then I'll have to rush and it will look like crap. I don't want this to happen.
Secondly, I'm cosplaying some characters I've never cosplayed before, and some that no one but my friends have seen so I'm slightly nervous about that...
*sigh* I suppose I'm worring a bit to much about this, oh well, here's my progress on mine, and some of my frineds cosplays so far.

Inoue Orihime:
Wig- Complete.
Hair pins- Still missing one.
Clothing- In progress.

Haruno Sakura:
Boots- Complete.
Skirt- Complete
Shirt- Needs to be taken in again.
Shin guards, elbow covers, gloves.- Complete.
Wig and Forehead protector- Complete.

Monkey D. Luffy:
Shirt- Need pattern or other means.
Pants- Complete.
Shoes- Complete
Hat- Needs ribbon.

Nara Shikamaru:
Jacket- ...DON'T ASK. -_-+
Shirt- Need to go and buy at Hot Topic
Pants- Need to be hemmed.
Shoes- In progress.

Kairi:
Dress- Borowing from lovely Samuze. <3
Shoes- ???
Wig- ???

Those are mine, now for the progress on little things I have to do for others.

Namine:
Dress- I will probably finish this today

Uchiha Sasuke:
Shirt- Done I think...
Man skirt- Just needs interfacing.

*sigh* All the cool kids were doing it. (The Cool Kids: , , )

So, here's a list of cosplays I'm working on.

Sakura Haruno:
Shirt- Added zipper, there are still a couple things I need to fix on it to make me happy with it. (Without completely re-making it.)

Skirt- Learned how to sew zippers, so I'm replacing all three of them so it will be more functional and pretty.

Gloves- Black leater, borrowed from . They're hawt.

Elbow thingys- Used part of a long sleeved shirt from :iconpacabel:'s Zoro shirt.

Kunai holster, leg bandage, and medic pack- In progress.

Boots- Got new boots, they are ACTUALLY black.

Shin guards- Bought 'em at Wal*Mart, spray painted them black for me.

Wig and forehead protector- Forehead protector is DONE. Wig needs to be trimmed in the back, then that will be done as well.

Orihime Inoue:

Wig and Hairpins- Wig is gordegous. Hairpins were made by . Unfortunately, one of them has gone missing.

Wearing- ?????????

Shikamaru Nara:

Jacket- Cut out all the fabric, now it just needs to be assembled. (I HATE sewing sleeves.)

Forehead protector- Just need to cut the fabric and attach the lovely metal piece made me.

Shirt- Need to go to my local Hot Topic to check about a fishnet shirt.

Pants- Have the pants and the dye, unfortunately I'm having some problems with this. -_-+

Shoes- and I are making these together, so far we have the fabric and shoes.

Luffy D. Monkey:

Shirt- Bought a shirt at local thrift shop, this will be used for a pattern once I figure out what fabric I'm using.

Pants- Done, the fluffy stuff on the knees is shmex.

Straw Hat- Just needs the red ribbon.

Shoes- Need to have the extra strap glued on.

Itachi Uchiha:

Wigh and Forehead protector: Both complete, forehead protector currently M.I.A.

Clothing- Everything but what goes on the bottom. (Oh so super secret.)

Well, I think thats all I have to say here...I'll probably update this once I get more completed or something like that.
